Douglas Van Steel

I am a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of California, Berkeley. My research interests include American political thought with a focus on 18th and 19th century concepts of representation.

I am a former Editorial Assistant at the journal American Political Thought, hold a M.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, a M.A. in Political Theory from the Department of Political Science at the University of Houston, and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from the same institution.
