We are thrilled to announce that Shterna Friedman has won the inaugural Melvin Richter Prize, which is awarded by the International Conference for the Study of Political Thought. She receives this for the best dissertation in the history of political thought, for “Kant, Hegel, and the Rise of Systemic Social Theory.” Her dissertation committee was Kinch Hoekstra (chair), Daniela Cammack, Daniel Lee, and Hans Sluga (Philosophy). Friedman will take up a position as Assistant Professor of Government at Harvard University in 2025.
